Francis the Poodle became an internet icon, who first hit our Youtube channels in 2007 has passed away at 14 years old.
The news was announced on the 'Cooking with Dog' twitter account.
Francis passed away this afternoon. He was 14 years and 9 months old and lived a full, happy life. He was a good friend and will be missed. pic.twitter.com/vCAhCQ7JEv

Known for his calm influence sitting by the Japanese Chef, whose real name is not disclosed, Francis featured in the chef's regular videos and his calm demeanor sitting by her side, as well as his role as English voice over host no doubt helped amass the duo's 1.2m channel subscribers as the bond between dog and chef was apparent for all to see.
Their latest video, below, was added two weeks ago.
