COMPETITION TIME! Win a Pet Friendly Holiday in the Cotswolds!

Are you craving a short break with your dog? If so our competition this month will be right up your street because we've teamed up with The Plough Inn, located in the heart of the Cotswolds in Cold Aston, to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a two-night getaway with their pet (and a friend or partner).

What could be better than spending a couple of days and nights enjoying the gently rolling hills and the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales with your beloved dog?

Nestled in the small Cotswolds Village of Cold Aston between Cheltenham and Bourton-on-the-water is The Plough Inn, a true country pub. With its old Cotswold flagstones, original beams and a roaring fire you can lose yourself in the history of this 17th Century Inn.

The Plough Inn is proud to support local farmers and have an ever changing, seasonal menu always using the freshest and best ingredients. They aim to do classic pub food as well as interesting premium dishes - with a charcoal fired Bertha oven in the kitchen to add incredible flavour to meat and fish dishes.

The Plough Inn also has three letting bedrooms above the pub. The rooms have been renovated and decorated sympathetically to preserve the character of this grade II listed building. Each room has an exceptionally comfortable bed with crisp fresh white linen, feather pillows, fluffy white towels, ensuite bathroom, the list goes on.

All-in-all a visit to The Plough Inn will truly impress you from the moment you walk in the door. The warmth of hospitality, quality of food and the interesting drinks make this a true hidden gem right in the heart of the Cotswolds.

What's included in the competition:

A two-night stay for two adults and their dog/s with breakfast each morning and one evening meal is included (drinks not included).

After the short break, we'd like to make your dog famous and help others because K9 Magazine would like to receive a review of your pet friendly break, including what you'd recommend to dog owners visiting the area (see example here).

Restrictions:

Subject to availability, best available room, not valid on bank holidays or weekends.

How to enter:

Simply comment below (keeping your email address hidden behind a username) on this article telling us why your dog deserves a pet friendly getaway and why they would like to feature in K9 Magazine with their own review.

You can also enter on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/K9Mag/

Competition entries will be collated and the winner will be chosen at random.

Good luck!

Please please pick me for the win as I am a very intelligent Scottish border collie called Charlie who can actually speak the hooman english language and therefore would be able to give a very full and accurate account of my stay at such a loverly dog friendly establishment.

We left our boys with a dog-minder when we went on holiday in September. While we were away they had a nasty fight – everyone who knows them are totally shocked as they previously idolised each other. We’ve been working hard with a behaviourist to get them back on good terms with each other and are making good progress. A break away might just be the clincher for them to re-bond

Our Alfie-dog, a Greyhound Saluki Cross, lost his owner (my mum’s partner) in February. Although we give him as much love as we possibly can, a lovely dog-friendly holiday would be PERFECT for him! AND us with him as not every holiday place is dog friendly which is a shame!
