The short story is that Cars and Canines Rallycross is the first Rallycross series in the world to directly and solely benefit homeless dogs

We Race in Paris, TX (approximately 90 minutes north-east of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex), but as a global Dog Publication, we hope you take some inspiration in your own community.
We are passionate about helping 501 c(3) organizations that are struggling to stay operational by finding profitable uses for their premises. Rallycross is just one idea of how two communities, in this case, dog lovers and people who want to race their cars off-road, can team up to secure each other's existence!

What are we trying to solve? - Texas has a Shelter Overpopulation Crisis
There is a massive problem across the globe with dog overpopulation, often resulting in a situation where a City or other Municipality cannot adopt its way out of.

K9Magazine.com is a global digital dog publication born in Nottinghamshire, UK and now headquartered in Dallas, TX. All of us at the Magazine are fiercely determined to end pet homelessness in Dallas, TX and beyond, and we believe we've found a way to fund some of the rehabilitation and rehoming costs associated with the current oversupply of dogs...because many dog rescues and sanctuaries around us have land...all while another group of people...the gearheads, the rally nerds, the offroad enthusiast struggle for places to race their passion projects.
Where do Cars come in?
We love cars at K9magazine.com almost as much as dogs, so it dawned on us that the shocking lack of offroad motorsport space in Texas could be addressed by the spare land that is often available at...you guessed it...dog rescues and sanctuaries.
We'd love to see more examples of recreational activities funding great causes, but we are starting the fun at a wonderful Rescue that is close enough to our HQ for us to get some selfish "seat time" ourselves!

What is Rallycross?
RallyCross is the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to slide your way sideways to victory. RallyCross is a scaled-down version of stage rally racing laid out on unpaved land where the course is delineated by traffic cones and plastic pylons instead of trees and rocks.
With only 1 or 2 cars on the track at a time you don’t need to worry about passing or being passed by other cars. Top speeds are about 50 MPH.

The entry fees and equipment requirements are considerably less than those necessary to enter other forms of racing. We are happy to assist first-time competitors with getting started in this great sport.
Cars are divided into three classes: rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive.
