DogsBlog.com, the innovative dog adoption website published by K9 Media Ltd is delighted to announce the continuation of an official partnership with Butcher’s Pet Care, a UK manufacturer of natural, high-meat content wet-dog food, including Tripe a Superfood for Dogs.
DogsBlog.com launched in 2007 and has achieved amazing success by actively helping rehome more than 9,100 dogs. The popular blog style website offers a free platform for 258 rescue shelters located throughout the UK to promote their dogs.
Each dog is given their own post, where their character, personality and traits are all explained by the various rescue centre’s canine assessors. Large images and video files are included within each post to capture each individual dog’s charm.
Users can search for dogs by age, breed type, geographic location or even by a range of character traits such as dogs that are good with children, dogs who like cats or dogs who would be suitable to perform jobs of work.
As the service is provided to rescues and dog adopters completely free of charge (thanks to the support of sponsors like Butcher’s Pet Care) the DogsBlog.com website has relieved the UK animal welfare sector of more than £21m of financial strain (1).
With the help of pet industry professionals and the continual support from Butcher’s Pet Care, DogsBlog.com is able to offer free expert advice, care and guidance to dog owners who may be encountering problems with their dog. DogsBlog.com hopes that with the right education and guidance, dog owners can work through their problems rather than simply trying to rehome their dog.
Kim Bruce, co-founder of DogsBlog.com says: “We are thrilled to continue working with such an esteemed, well respected pet food company as Butcher’s Pet Care. We feel their values reflect those of DogsBlog.com and their experience and expertise in the pet sector is sure to be a great help to us in taking DogsBlog.com from strength to strength. We recognise that so many dogs are being rehomed as a result of behavioural issues, perhaps being too boisterous or even destructive. Often, the first culprit in causing such unwanted behaviour is as simple as the dog being fed the wrong diet. Now with the expertise of one of the UK’s most well known pet nutrition companies on board, we feel we can add even more value by way of providing advice to owners who are struggling with their dog’s.”
Caroline Coombs, Brand Manager of Butcher’s Pet Care Ltd said of the partnership: “DogsBlog does a fantastic job of not only finding loving homes for rescue dogs but also in providing valuable advice on how to deal with problem behaviour in dogs with the ultimate aim of preventing dogs being put up for re-homing in the first place. Nutrition plays a key role in a dog’s wellbeing and at Butcher’s we use fresh meat, natural ingredients and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives to ensure your dog gets all the vitamins and minerals he needs to keep him happy, healthy and as Fit as a Butcher’s Dog.”
