Meet the latest canine war hero cementing his place in film history as his story comes to light in cinemas across the UK from 7th August.
Max is a U.S marine dog who returns from Afghanistan after losing his handler in war – he’s adopted by his handler’s family and together they overcome the loss and take on some exciting new adventures. It’s a lovely heart-warming tale of family, friendship, and what it takes to be a hero.
Now we've managed to wet your appetite, here's an exclusive clip from the film.
K9 Magazine also caught up with Josh Wiggins, who plays Justin Wincott, the younger son of Max's handler, who bonds particularly closely with the canine star.
K9: Working with dogs, was there anything that shocked you or surprised you when you first worked with them, were you expecting something and you got a different sort of experience?
Josh: I mean I was shocked at how well trained they are and how many specific things they were taught to do, I thought it was just going to be a general 'go over here, go over there' but it was like 'put your tongue back in your mouth' and all that and I was shocked by all that.
Max: The Movie is in cinemas across the UK from 7th August. Let us know what you think of the film, we'd love to hear your thoughts!
